Will believing in Jesus Christ assure that I will go to Heaven?
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son [Jesus], that whoever believes in Him [Jesus] should not perish, but have eternal life."
John 3:16
This Bible verse means that everyone who truly believes in Jesus will go to Heaven. And remember that if you truly believe, then your life will change to a life that pleases God. You will leave the life of sin and pursue a life that pleases God.
Salvation and forgiveness of sins is conditioned upon a person believing in Jesus to the extent that they live according to the commandments of Christ.
